Jodie Gibson

Clinical Psychologist Registrar

Jodie is a warm and compassionate clinical psychology registrar who works with adolescents and adults. She has experience across private practice, public health and university settings, and supports clients with a range of emotional, mental health and adjustment-related difficulties.

Jodie works with adolescents and adults experiencing concerns such as anxiety, depression, stress, perfectionism, adjustment to life changes, health-related difficulties, body image concerns and eating concerns. She takes a strengths-based and collaborative approach, building genuine and trusting relationships with clients while taking the time to understand their individual experiences, goals and needs.

Jodie is passionate about helping people create meaningful lives and develop practical strategies for managing challenges. Her style is warm, thoughtful and client-centred, with a focus on supporting insight, resilience and meaningful change.

Jodie draws on evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, or CBT, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, or ACT, Motivational Interviewing, and strategies from Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, or DBT. Her approach is tailored to each client’s needs, preferences and goals.

Jodie is an independent clinical psychology registrar conducting her practice from Think Clinical Psychologists.
