Adult Services

We provide psychological assessment and treatment services to adults experiencing a wide range of difficulties.

Our team of clinicians are highly qualified and have extensive experience working with adults both individually, and also in the context of relationship or family work. We specialise in anxiety disorders, depression, postnatal depression, bipolar disorder, eating disorders, self-harm, work stress, and a range of other issues.

We’re committed to helping you to achieve change as quickly as possible and use individualised, evidence-based treatment plans to accomplish this. All of our clinicians are trained in a wide range of treatment approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Motivational Enhancement Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, Schema Therapy, and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy.

We offer appointments Monday through Saturday – including after-school and after-hours appointments – and can offer initial consultations within 1-3 business days.

What Can I Expect From Sessions?

Your initial appointment will take between 50 and 60 minutes. During this session we’ll discuss what areas you’d like help with, and ask questions that will help us understand what factors might be contributing to your difficulties. The information we discuss at your initial appointment will help us tailor a treatment plan to meet your needs. If you’ve had treatment in the past and haven’t found it effective we can work together to understand what factors might be preventing you from achieving change.

In subsequent sessions we’ll help you achieve change with evidence-based treatment strategies. Subsequent sessions are 50-minutes.

How Many Sessions Will I Need?

We’re committed to helping you achieve change as quickly as possible. How many sessions you’ll need will depend on the nature and complexity of your difficulties, the amount of time you have to dedicate to homework tasks (if this applies), and the changes you want to achieve. On average, people attend between 8 to 12 sessions: simpler issues may take only 2 or 3 sessions, while more complex issues may require longer term work. We’ll be able to give you a better estimate of how many sessions you’ll need after your initial assessment.
